Hi BIRT Users,

Is there any API support in DEAPI to imitate the behaviour of BIRT report designer below?

When you drag&drop the same (composite) report item from a library into the report design more times, the name properties of added report items will be unique such as:
ReportItemName
ReportItemName1
ReportItemName2
etc.

So a number suffix is added on the fly to the name property in order it is unique throughout the whole design structure.

And this is valid recursively for all the name properties of a composite report item (for the name properties of all included sub report items).

I'll appreciate your help!
