1. Download the latest all-in-one release from here:
a. http://www.eclipse.org/tptp/home/downloads/?ver=4.6.1
2. Create a Profile Configuration
a. Select Monitor
b. Expand Instrument Collector
c. BUG: There is no Common Base Event Analysis item in the list
i. This worked in Eclipse 3.4
3. Select Window -> Preferences -> Profiling and Logging ->
Instrumentation -> Common Base Event
a. BUG: The entire UI dialog is grayed out
i. This worked in Eclipse 3.4
By the way, I tried this the all-in-one release from TPTP because when I
tried it three of the Eclipse 3.5 release for Galileo it also did not work.

How can one profile with CBE using Eclipse 3.5?

I think this is a problem still.
1. If it is no longer supported, then the documentation should be updated.
The documentation does not reflect this change.
2. Common Base Event seems to be an integral part of Eclipse. I think it
will be useful to include CBE for TPTP logging, to provide for greater
interoperation with other Eclipse plugins. Logging in the CBE format does
not seem conceptually dependent on LTA. Can the CBE logging aspect of LTA be
salvaged for TPTP 6.x and going forward?
