I want to store the CDA Documents into database, and i can get information
from database,
for example the patient node,I extract the patient information from the
recordTarget node. Some node have code attributes ,how can I store the code
information?
CDA Documents can have any structure by nesting the sections at any depth
and in any way ,how can I store the realation in the database?
How I can design the database?
Thanks!!!!!!!

We here at QinetiQ built a system for the Department of Energy that could
be made to handle CDAs. I mention this because I am considering using our
DoE system for just such a purpose, i.e. CDA storage, in support of our
county hospital. Our approach simply stores any structured document
(after all CDAs are structured documents) as XML in the file system while
maintaining indexes to support retrieval.
I'm not trying to sell this system, I can't, its GOTS.

Hi Robert ...
This is probably a better question for HL7. This is a tough question for
any implementer and the different methods to do so can be matters of
significant intellectual property for various vendors.
