How to mark files as "permanent"? [message #481493] Fri, 21 August 2009 05:30 Go to next message

How do I tell Mylyn to not automatically close files
because I haven't worked with them for some period of time.

WHen I start a new task I like to open all the files that I will be
working with, so it is really annoying when Mylyn starts to close files
because I haven't gotten around to them yet.

Mylyn tries to be intelligent about which files you accessed recently and therefore might close some
important file because you did not access them for a while.

Use "Mark as landmark" from the Package Explorer context menu to make these files more important.

Hi Jörg,
I don't see that option. The closest I see is "Remove from context"

Eclipse 3.5, Mylyn 3.2.2, Tasktop 1.5.1

Somehow "Mark as Landmark" is showing only on class nodes in the Package
Explorer. Navigator works as expected. You can also do it from the task
context tab.
