Error during the parser [message #478850] Fri, 07 August 2009 05:00 Go to next message

Hi guys,
While I am trying to open one dump file, actually after the parser the
following
error appears.
Do you have any similar experience regarding the issue?
"Extracting Biggest Objects" has encountered a problem.
Dominator tree now available. Delete indices and parse again.

I am using IBM JDK 1.4.2 SR12 and zipped dmp file.

Thank you guys.
Best Regards
Roger

Are there any messages in the error log? (See menu items 'Window' 'Error Log' )

I am having the same error. When I look at the error log it only shows:

"Dominator tree not available. Delete indices and parse again."

Any update on the subject?

I found the cause of this problem. If a previous parsing of a heap dump is not completed, it leaves some files in a corrupt state in the same directory with the heap dump. Deleting those intermediate files will solve the issue.
