A complete specification of UML2 [message #475207] Thu, 23 August 2007 12:10 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

I am trying to convert an UML model in XMI format genereted by Enterprise
Architect to XMI file compliant to EMF/UML2. Please where I can find a
complete specification of UML2 ?

I want to apply a profile written with UML2 not with Ecore, to my model in
UML2. which tag I need to define in my model ? Are there some examples
about this topic ?

Thanks,
Tarek

Hello Tarek,

regarding your second question, there is an article about creating and applying
profiles available here:
http://www.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/uml2/docs/articles/Intro duction_to_UML2_Profiles/article.html

Perhaps this may help you!?

Tarek,

The UML2 API and serialization format are based more or less entirely on the
UML standard, so perhaps your best resource is the UML specification
itself - see http://www.omg.org/technology/documents/formal/uml.htm.

Have you find a way to use the stereotypes (profile, ...) with classes and
other elements? I am trying to convert the Enterprise Architect XMI too ;-)
