Thanks a lot... you are right. I didn't think it was important to add
the XML file as I didn't detect anything related to the image.

From the description it sounds as though you have created the intro
contribution using the new plug-in wizard. (File->New Plugin and select
Custom plug-in wizard on the Templates page, and then select Universal
Welcome Contribution).
If this is the case the image is defined by the css file
intro/.sample/sample.css and you can change it there.
