add files that do not lay in project folder [message #474720] Sun, 02 November 2008 18:14 Go to next message

Hello
I would like to add a certain file to an eclipse project, that does not
lay in the project folder. Simply adding the file via
Import->General->File system creates a copy of the file inside the project
folder. I do not want that. I would rather like a reference instead of a
local copy.
Editing the absolut path in the solution's
metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.ui.workbench\workbench.xml seems to do the
job. Unfortunately this is dirty and I would like to have a more clean way
to do this.
Thank you
