Is this still a bug in 3.0.2?
I found the bug entry for this symptom here:

My Environment:
Running eclipse 3.0.2 on Win2K-SP4
Connecting to CVS 1.11.18 running on Solaris
When I change to the CVS Repository perspective and expand the +HEAD I
get the error:
An internal error occurred during: "Fetching children of HEAD".
