The rcp-framwork adds a default menu called SWT (unless you brand your app, then it has the name of your app) on mac os. This menu contains entries like "About SWT" (or "About product name"), "Preferences", "Services", "Hide App", "Hide Others", "Show all" and "Quit App".

All actions are working by default, except for the About action. It is only working if I contribute my own about action in another menu. Is there a way to get this default About action to work without having to contribute my own about action in another menu?

No, that's how you contribute the About on Mac OS X.

Alex.

Thanks for the quick reply Aley. But in the Eclipse IDE (SDK) there is only one About dialog (About Eclipse SDK) in the application menu. There must be a way to contribute the about action to this single menu. Any ideas?

Ah, right. Sorry, I think that it's built in at a lower layer; you might find that if you provide the product customisation that it comes up with something. You might be better off asking on the SWT group.

Alex.
