I'd like to know if there is a live-CD distribution with Eclipse included
in it.

Thanks in advance.

Anybody?

I'm developing an Eclipse based Modula-2 IDE (screenshots:

launcher for Linux-IA32. I have thought on a live-CD that includes
Eclipse, but any other idea will be welcome.

Dear David,

I'm interested in your eclipsed based modula-2 based IDE.
Is it an opensource project?

Kind regards,
Arjan van Someren

Hi, Arjan,

I'm planning to release it under GPL.

Regards.

David,

When do you espect to release it?
Can I test it somehow?

Kind regards,
Arjan

Well, this project is meant to be my end of course project, so I planned
to present it for evaluation and release it immediately. Unfortunately it
turned out that my university has a bureaucratic process for projects that
it's slower than I expected. You cannot present the project in the same
academic year you have registered for it, instead you have to wait to the
following academic year.
At this time I'm thinking about what to do with this: either waiting until
the next year, risking that the project becomes obsolete, or releasing the
project now, disregarding the end of course project.
Depending on this decision, the code would be released either on May or
early
next year.
Regards.

Releasing an Eclipse-derived product under the GPL may be problematic;
many experts believe that the EPL and GPL licenses are incompatible. I
recommend seeking legal advice before committing long-term to a specific
license.

It seems that you're right, they're incompatible. I'll have to think more
carefully about the license.
