How can I make popup windows like the ones that appear on content
assistance or the ctrl+o outline?

More precisely, I'd like to make a content assistant for a text field
which will, on ctrl+space show a calendar in a popup that allows you to
choose a date.

How can I do this?

Hi Ognen, that one that search it don't do part of the SWT native
library. However if you want some kinds of this widget you could look in:
