Hi,
We have more than one group developing eclipse plugins for an RCP
application. We are using eclipse 3.2.1. One group (say Group A) is
responsible for creating the base RCP application and a set of plugins.
This group will export an RCP product (consisting of a feature, the RCP
feature and a set of eclipse platform plugins). The plugins developed by
Group A is sort of a framework using which the other two groups (Group B
and C) will develop their plugins. Groups B and C may use additional
eclipse platform plugins that are not part of the product exported by
Group A.
The various groups do not share the source repository (clearcase) and
does not have the same build and release schedules. What is the best way
to do this kind of development. If groups B and C install the product
developed by A and set their plugin target platform to the location
where the product is installed, we can see the product plugins and other
eclipse platform plugins exported in the product, but cannot use any
additional eclipse plugins.
I don't know if I explained my problem correctly, but any help or
suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
