Problem packaging JAR's as plugins for RCP development [message #464699]

Oracle access) to support my RCP development. Things work as advertised,
creating a plugin project using the "plugin from existing JAR archives" and
then exporting the plugin project to a "Deployable plug-in". Here's the
problem. When I copy the resulting plugin JAR to my Eclipse plugin directory
and restart Eclipse, I can no longer run the Update Manager on my
configuration. I get an Update Manager "internal error".

Is there something I need to include in the plugin Manifest that let's
Eclipse know that this plugin is to be integrated? Or is there something
I'm not understanding.
