Use Of Developped Plugins in a Workbench [message #464493] Fri, 09 March 2007 05:01 Go to next message

Hello,

I am developping plugins in a first eclipse. I do NOT export them. I just
run a workbench.

When workbench running on my Linux machine I cannot create plugins that
actually depend on plugins developped in the first eclipse whereas on my
mac machine I can !

The only difference between both environment is the use of different java
sdk (1.5.0 for mac and 1.6.0 for linux).

Does anybody have an idea of this strange behavior ?
Do I have to export plugins all the time ? (seams no because I can do it
under mac)

Thanks for your reply.

François

Hi,

I'm not sure if I understand well what is the problem.
You have an Eclipse (let's call it A). You develop a plugin in Eclipse A
and run a new workbench (let's call it Eclipse B) from within Eclipse A,
is that right? And you want to develop a plugin (in Eclipse B), which
depends on plugins from Eclipse A?
Could you clarify this?

regards,
Jakub Jurkiewicz
