Hello everybody,
I'm a newcomer to Eclipse and I need some help:
How should I configure Eclipse so I can develop servlets using it ?
The rt.jar I have under D:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.1_01\lib does not
contain the classes needed for servlet development. Should I download from
SUN the J2EE SDK ?
On a PC where a former collegue was working on servlets using Eclipse that
J2EE SDK is not installed and is not even mentioned in Java Build
Path->Libraries.
Can somebody help me ?
Thank you.

Far as I can tell, Eclipse doesn't include any runtime libraries not
directly associated with Eclipse.
You'll need to install the appropriate SDK (sounds like you're running on a
platform supported by Sun, so get them from there), then add the
appropriate .JAR file (don't remember the name off the top of my head.
j2ee.jar?) to your build path.

There are several plugins around for Servlet development as for example
lomboz.
With these you can create Web/J2EE containers.
Have a try
