Hi,

I like to programmatically show the tooltip of a certain control.
Is there a (easy) way to do this?

Thanks,
Lars Ködderitzsch

Hi Lars,

There's no api for this. The only way to do this currently is to show a
fake tooltip, as demonstrated in
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.swt.sni ppets/src/org/eclipse/swt/snippets/Snippet125.java?rev=HEAD& amp;content-type=text/vnd.viewcvs-markup .

Not the nicest solution ;-) but, hey, it works!
