Separate product per platform? [message #461768] Tue, 16 January 2007 09:48 Go to next message

Hi all,

Do I need a separate product configuration for each platform? I notice
that in Windows when I press 'Add Required' on the product configuration
file editor, it adds platform dependent fragments (*.win32). I then find
that on Linux I need to not only press 'Add Required' again to add the
Linux specific fragments, but to remove the windows specific fragments.

This suggests I need a separate product configuration per platform. But
some aspects of the product config file editor suggest that the product
config file is for multiple platforms.

Can anyone help with this?

Matt D.

Hi Matt,
you don't need a product config for each platform. The features defines
like org.eclipse.rcp which fragment is needed for a platform.
If you install the RCP delta pack from Eclipse, you can export RCP
application for different platforms.
You can get the delta pack for 3.2.1 here
