Hi,

We use RCP as an alternative to a web-browser in client-server (J2EE
using JBoss) applications.

The performance is excellent: in many cases, users do not have to wait
while the server provides web-pages for the web-browser because the RCP
switches among views and editor pages.

This RCP architecture allows us to overcome many of the security/privacy
problems associated with a web-browser and web-server architecture.

Hi,

happy new Year first of all!

I don't know, whether this is an answer of your question, but we use rcp
for a classical client-server-app for collaborating development.
Communication depends on plain ServSockets. Performance is very good.

So long,
Florian
