Single Model - Layered views [message #46409] Mon, 02 December 2002 05:30
Eclipse UserFriend
I'm new to GEF and I'm trying to figure out the best way to do the
following:

The model consists of a single top level view (component view), but what I
want to be able to do is to select a component and that will open a new view
(construction view) that shows how the component is built. I would like to
reclect this in the outline view. e.g.

ComponentA
Input1
Input2
Module1
Module2
Module3
Output1
Componentb
Input4
Module6
Module9

etc.

The component view would just show components. The construction view would
just show inputs, outputs and module.

I would be grateful for any help or any pointers to existing examples.

Thanks,

John.
