In the Navigator in Eclipse the "Open" menu option seems to automatically
run the right application for a selected item. For example opening a GIF
file in the runs the native Windows image viewer application.

I need to do something similar. Can someone tell me how this is done or
ppint me to the code in Eclipse that contributes the Open menu option to the
navigator.
