Hallo all,
i tried tio buily my standalone rcp application form the command line,
following the
instructions on
http://help.eclipse.org/help32/index.jsp?topic=/org.eclipse. pde.doc.user/gui
de/tasks/pde_product_build.htm
First of all: Is it correct, that this build instruction produces an
standalone rcp.exe, like the export wizard of an myproduct.product file does
it?
Bute, i didn't understand these instruction exactly, because I am not a geek
in eclipse rcp-topics. May be you could help me. It is an Eclipse 3.2
environment.
First I created a build_directory like c:\pp and two subdirectories plugins
and features. My first question is, which plugins and features I have to
copy in these subdirectories? There is no existing plugin like MyPlugin,
which i can copy
Then, I copied the file <pde.build...>/headless-build/build.properties to
c:\bd an modiefied it. The variables configs was not set, so i set it but
assigned no value to it, like configs=
But, I get an internal Error, with the message: Content Provider not set for
site {0} at line 45 of scripst/productBuild/productBuild.xml
----
As you can see, i had no idea how to solve this problem, because I didn't
know, if the automated plugin build does the things, I want it to do...
Thanks for all hints or an tutorial link. I found nothing on google.
Florian
