Hello all,
I have installed Eclipse 3.0 in my home directory. No matter what I do or
try, the "Print" menu item is permanently grayed out and I cannot print
out any source code. I use CUPS under Mandrake 10.0.
Has anyone any idea what I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
David

Had the same problem - then a kind soul pointed me towards Xprint
http://xpring.mozdev.org
(or something similar, just do 'xprint' on Google)
it worked - to a point :-)
No longer the menu is grayed out, and I can... well print: what I get
when sending to the printer a file from Eclipse, all I get are 50+point
font, which means that little more than a few charachter per page.
There is no way to set-up properties or to choose print fonts in Eclipse
that I can find - and this is a problem only with Eclipse - anything
else (from humble gedit, to Mozilla) prints correctly on the printer.
Most frustrating, and definitely a `bug' in my book!
Platform: Fedora Core 1 (kernel 2.4.18)
xprint-2004-07-07-release_009_001-0.9.001.i386
Eclipse 3.0.1 (but same problem with 3.0.2)
Any suggestions are most welcome!
