I have just set up Eclipse to use CVSNT. Everything went fine up to the
point when I wanted to share my first project. Then Eclipse complains as
follows:
CVSNT repository ':pserver:arnd@NYMPHE:/CVS' is convigured to use a
repository prefix. However, ...<snip> The use of a repository prefix should
be disable if the full functionality of the Eclipse CVS client is desired.
[OK]
After this, 'Share Poject' appears to continue normally, but it looks like
it's not really added to the repository. At least, I get no context menu
option to add the contained files to the repository.
Question (1): What is a 'repository prefix'? I've looked all over Eclipse,
Eclipse help, CVSNT and its help and two fat tomes on Eclipse, but this term
is nowhere to be found.
Question (2): How do I know my project has been successfully shared? Why
can't I add files? It also doesn't show up in CVS perspective.
any help much appreciated,
Arnd

thank you, Adrian, that was the 'missing link'. I'd never have guessed that
this option was related ;-)
