This may not be the right newsgroup for this, so I welcome redirects.

I am running 3.1.0 gtk/x86_64 on AMD64 1.5.0 JDK.

When I go into Manage Configuration, it shows that Platform and PDE have
errors.

In the Platform, Status, Reason textarea, I see:
> Plug-in "org.eclipse.swt.gtk" version "3.1.0" referenced by this
> feature is missing.

Similarly, in "Plug-in Developer Resources", Status, Reason:
> Plug-in "org.eclipse.platform.source.linux.gtk.x86" version "3.1.0"
> referenced by this feature is missing.

It doesn't seem that Eclipse is broken (i.e. it seems to start and
render screens just fine) but in my experience it is bad to purposefully
ignore "errors" because then real issues slip by.

1. What can I check to see if there is a real problem here?
2. What can I do to encourage it to no longer look for the swt.gtk and
instead use swt.gtk64 (which is installed, btw):
> org.eclipse.swt.gtk64 (3.1.0) "Standard Widget Toolkit for GTK 2.0"
> [Resolved]

According to System Summary:
> eclipse.buildId=I20050219-1500
> eclipse.commands=-os
> linux
> -ws
> gtk
> -arch
> x86_64

Thanks muchly,

Matthew:

Please open a bug report against Platform/Core with that information, the
build id of your Eclipse. You can post back to this newsgroup the bug number
so I add myself to that bug report.

Thanks
Chris
