Standalone without view [message #45496] Mon, 13 June 2005 19:56 Go to next message

I've gotten birt to run standalone and generate pdfs, but I've had trouble
getting fop to -ps print to a network printer which fop is supposedly
capable of. It comes down to a classcast exception when rendering block
areas. So....

What other options/best practices are there for autoprinting reports to a
given printer?

Thanks,
Joe

Has anyone used birt to generate and automatically print reports?

How did you do it?

Thanks,
Joe

I've also been down the path of trying to use GhostScript and gsprint to
silently print, but when trying to open the file in ghostscript i get the
exception included below. So for now all I have is a "hack" to open
acrobat 5.0 and print then kill it. Are there any plans to support printing
via fop, or other means?
