Profiling and Logging perspective opens in new window [message #45318] |

When profiling, Eclipse switches to the Profiling and Logging perspective
(no problem there), but it insists on opening it in a separate workbench
window. Am I doing something silly? Is there a way to keep the
perspective open in my main workbench window?
Thanks,
Keith

I've never come across this problem and I've never been able to reproduce
it. Another user, however, did complain about the same problem and here's
what they had to say about it:
"After re-installing Eclipse 3.1, TPTP, EMF, etc., starting on a clean
workspace this no longer happens. The UML sequence diagrams also work now.
There was some sort of conflict I guess.Could it be because of AspectJ? It
was the only extra add-on I had in the previous config in addition to TPTP
and the plugins it requires. Up and running now. Thanks."

I did experience a similar problem with Eclipse 3.2. This is a very odd
problem that I wasn't able to reproduce with a fresh workspace. If you have
a consistent way of reproducing this error, please open a defect.
Keep in mind that TPTP 4.1 is supported under Eclipse 3.1 not 3.2
