I would like to bring a figure to front when it is selected by user. From
Randy Hundson's previous posting, the z-order of a figure is deteremined by
the order of the getChildren() return by the Diagram. And I can achieve
bringing a figure to the front by re-ordering the children of the Diagram.

But is there a better approach? What if I have > 300 figures in my diagram,
every time user selects a figure, i need to reorder all the children. Will
this be slow?
