| Can you remove "Unmatched Tasks"? [message #44968] |

I have a category of Mylyn tasks called "Unmatched Tasks" that I didn't
create. Presumbably they come from queries I once set up and then
discarded, or something. Can I get rid of them?

Mik, in the FAQ entries the term "Archive Category" is used with regard to filtering and as a
general category. AFAIK, the filtering is no longer supported/needed, and the category is now a
connector specific unmatched category.
Is that correct? Then, the FAQ should be updated.

Well, as far as I know you can't get rid of the "unmatched" category
/permanently/, but you when you delete all its entries, the category is
automatically hidden.
It may reappear, though: As soon as a task is no longer matched by at
least one "regular" query it shows up in the "unmatched" category.
BTW: I'm talking about Mylyn 2.3, the behaviour might be different in
older versions.

To get rid of tasks in the Unmatched container you can Delete them. I
just updated the corresponding FAQ entry:

Jörg,
You are correct, the Archive is a thing of the past and has been
replaced with repository specific Unmatched containers. I've update the
FAQ terminology.
