How to properly test a RCP UI? [message #444616]

Hello, I was just assigned to QA our RCP UI. I want to do this properly,
and I've used abbot for swing but I've heard abbot for swt is a bit
sketchy.

Furthermore, does basing test framework on wrappers around the PlatformUI,
IWorkbench, IProject API to dig down to the control level(getControl()),
then using abbot for swt to test our custom widgets state sound like the
right approach?
