config.ini eof usage [message #444002] |

I'm not clear on what the purpose of the eof=eof line is in config.ini.
My Eclipse 3.1.1 IDE config.ini has the line at the end of the config.ini
and says "End of File Marker, Must be here". But the config.ini I got
when exporting the sample mail RCP project didn't have it.
Does eof=eof signify the last line in the config.ini or does it signify
the end of file marker for all of Eclipse?
Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX machines seem to always use eof=eof, event
though their eof ascii characters are different. Would there ever be a
case when eof=eof would not be used?
I've used an Eclipse RCP web browser application without the eof=eof line
and it has been working fine for a few months now.
Any advice appreciated.
Thx...Bob
