Logic Editor Example [message #44423] Thu, 21 November 2002 10:41 Go to next message

I am using Eclipse 20021119 with GEF build 20021119 and logic editor
20021114, but I can't get that to work.
The logic editor load successfully, but when i click a component (e.g. Or
GATE) and click on the graphics pane, it does not show up.

Do I need a different combination for my setting?

Thanks.

Are you trying to create an Or Gate (for example)? I'm not sure what version of
the logic example you were using before, but now it's using drag and drop from
the palette for creation. Drag a component from the palette and drop it on the
editor to create that component.

Okay, I am going to try that. Does that mean the GEF plugin I develop with
an older version of GEF (0821) will no longer work?

Also why there is an AND gate icon under the Connection icon in the logic
Editor example now? I don't recall I see that in the older version of the
Logic Editor Example.

The other way (using the CreationTool) will still work. The And Gate you're
talking about does this. It's only there for testing purposes.

Is it possible to have one creation tool to support both way? The new
Drag-and-drop way and the old "Select and Click" Way

Isn't this the same question as above?
