I was wondering if there was a way to make the ant integration stuff use
the JRE settings in Window->Preferences->Installed JREs section. It
appears that the ant stuff always uses the JRE that Eclipse was started

You are correct Scott. The current Eclipse integration runs Ant in the
within the same VM as Eclipse.

A prototype should be coming soon within an integrated build download...
