Code Assist Javadoc Hover [message #44079] Thu, 29 May 2003 23:30 Go to next message

No matter what I try, I cannot get Javadoc to show in a hover next to
code assist. I could swear this worked on other Eclipse installations
I've used. Javadoc is definitely available for the methods I'm selecting
in the code assist popup - if I type the methods into the editor and
hover over them, I see the Javadoc in a hover. I've scoured the
preferences, and I don't see a preference that controls whether Javadoc
is shown in code assist.

Actually, it appears that code assist refuses to use hovers in any
circumstance. If I create a new class, then type "to"<ctrl-space> to
override toString(), I don't see the hover which shows the code about to
be generated.

Anyone have an idea?

Thanks,

Jeff

Works for me using I20030528 on Win2k. Please file a bug report with
steps to reproduce.

Summary: There seems to be a bug which causes Code Assist hovers to
never appear if you set the Code Assist auto activation delay to zero.
