....and can I assume that upcoming Eclipse 3.0.x versions can be safely
used with future BIRT 1.x ?

For the record, BIRT 1.0 it doesn't work with 3.0.2, even though it
looks like the obvious thing to use after seeing its changelog.

Hmm, I tried (ok, just started) Birt 1.0 with Eclipse 3.0.2 and haven't
yet experienced unsolveable problems.
