the Update Manager?

thanks -

Chris,
This sounds like a great idea that should be logged as an enhancement in
Bugzilla.
regards,
Gary

Thanks Gary. I'd like to become more involved in the project so would you
like for me to figure out how to log it?

Hi Chris,

Thought I'd jump in here, I've filed a few RFE as well :D

The location where you can do the logging of the RFE is:

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/enter_bug.cgi?product=BIRT

Response to quiet thread....but I'm interested in an update site for
BIRT too.

There was an RFE filed just recently - see:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=126894

As stated in my comment to that RFE, I have a working update site for
BIRT 1.0.1 that I "manufactured" from the download.

I'd be happy to share that, and possibly do the same for BIRT 2.0.0
and/or stable build S20051110 (not sure what is current between 1.0.1
and S20051110).
I'd like a BIRT that works on 3.0.x of Eclipse; BIRT builds beyond that
are good to have too.

Long term the update site content should come from the formal build
process, but the "manufactured" update site might do fine as a way to
catch up with released builds of BIRT.

Regards,
Pat Mc.
