NullpointerExceptions on Connect, disappear with eclipse -clean [message #43638] Mon, 07 April 2008 10:53 Go to next message

Whe I try to connect to a Sybase ASE database I sometimes get
NullPointerExceptions. Please see Stacktrace below.
This happens when I try to open a .sql file with the DTP sql-file
editor, choosing context menu (right mouse click) / "set connection info".

When I start eclipse from the command line, with the -clean option I
*can* connect to the database, using the method mentioned above.

Why is that so? Any Ideas?

Knut

Brian-

This information you requested was partly already there in my first
posting, right before the stack trace. The same error also occured with
earlier DTP versions which can be used with the
eclipse.buildId=I20070625-1500.

Knut

Now:
My DTP version is
1.6.0.200802151

Before
1.5.1.200709261 feature-disable success
27.02.2008 13:13:34

I am not sure about this version which I had also installed:
1.5.0.200706221

Thanks for the additional information.

We've had a similar report recently also for the SAP MaxDB contribution.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=226234

I'm looking into this today and hope to have some answers soon.

Brian-

This information you requested was partly already there in my first
posting, right before the stack trace. The same error also occured with
earlier DTP versions which can be used with the
eclipse.buildId=I20070625-1500.

Knut

Now:
My DTP version is
1.6.0.200802151

Before
1.5.1.200709261 feature-disable success
27.02.2008 13:13:34

I am not sure about this version which I had also installed:
1.5.0.200706221

Thanks for the additional information.

We've had a similar report recently also for the SAP MaxDB contribution.

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=226234

I'm looking into this today and hope to have some answers soon.
