[Sorry about the double posting, but I discovered this newgroup too late]

Hi,

I followed the instructions of the Dali 1.0 userguide but I cannot
generate entities from an existing PostgreSQL 8.1.x database.

If I right click the JPA project, select JPA Tools -> Generate Entities
while my connection is established, I cannot choose a schema and/or
click Finish. Is this a known / temporary bug, or shouldn't it possible
at all? If it should be possible, what could I try to make it happen?

TIA

Joost

Cheers,

Joost

Hi,

You might be running into this -
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=188565.

We think the problem is likely related to the mentioned DTP bug. Can you
browse your schema in the Data Source Explorer after connecting?

I have the same exception on the same platform.

Yes I can, although I find the tree that is build strange: it look like
it finds a database in a database (My Database is shown twice in the tree):

Databases
|__Panoramix (PostgreSQL v. 8.2.4)
|__MyDatabase
|_Catalogs
|_MyDatabase
|_Schemas
|_information_schema
|_pg_catalog
|_public
