Hello,
I would like to switch to Eclipse from VisualAge for Java, but I'm facing a
big problem: I have a huge lot of swing visual classes and beans and I would
like to take them to Eclipse. I've looked for some kind of migration tool,
but I didn't find any.
I'm quite sure that a lot of people here has faced the same problem. Can
someone please suggest me a viable solution ?
Mik

I'm testing VE. I find it quite nice, even if i miss the vaj visual
connections. I found some strange behaviour of the undo function on a JFrame
with the gridbaglayout: when undoing the deletion of a JButton causes it to
appear to another place.
I'm using the latest stable release.
I'll let you know my experience in migrating from VAJ.
Cheers,
Mik

Hello Michele,
In the Visual Editor's Eclipse help (Help->Help Contents->Visual Editor
for Java User Guide) there's a topic on migrating to VE from VisualAge
for Java. That help topic points to the website where the Conversion
tool for VCE can be obtained. That tool will convert applications
developed in the VCE to a format that is suitable for the Visual Editor.
Good luck,
- Jeff
