Missing features on pallette [message #42955] Mon, 21 June 2004 20:12 Go to next message

Hi,
My installation of VE seems to be working fine for the most part, but
I've noticed a few little things I'm not even sure I should classify as
bugs, since they were probably me botching the install somehow.

1.) I've noticed that in most screen shots in various tutorials, there are
options below the "Choose Bean" option on the widget palette that look like
a way to get to most UI components quickly. How do I get these to show up?

2.) I've noticed that while I can "add a new visual class" via the add
class button on Eclipse's main toolbar, when I right-click on the project
and go to New-> the "add a new visual class" option is not there. Weird.

TIA,

-Patrick

Yeah, sounds like your installation is messed up somehow. You can look
at the .log file in the .metadata directory in your workspace for clues.
You might want to delete the configuration directory in your Eclipse
install directory and see if that clears it up. Otherwise try doing a
fresh install of Eclipse and the latest stable build of VE.

check if you have correct (for ve release) versions of gef and emf. i had
the same problem and the reason was incompatibility of these plugins.
