Hello again,
I am trying to work with EMF markers currently. I have the following
problem: When validation of an object fails with an error, a marker is
correctly placed and shown in the problems view. Double-clicking this
marker opens the editor, and the target object of the marker is selected
for a very short time, then the selection jumps to the root of the
editor's tree. Double-clicking the marker again (or at any other time
while the editor is open) finally moves the selection to the correct
object. Obviously, if the editor is not yet open, I'd like the selection
to jump to the target object of the error marker *and stay there*.
Has anybody else had this problem? The editor is the default editor
generated by EMF with no changes.
Greetings and thanks in advance,
Martin Geisse

That's odd...

I see. I never noticed this before. I haven't looked closely, but I
suspect that selection in the outline view is being reflected in the
editor's view. It looks to be easily reproducible. Odd that no one has
ever complained. Please open a bugzilla and I'll try to come up with a
fix...
