Domain model validation in batch mode [message #42577] |

Hello,
I wonder if it is possible to validate a domain model outside an OSGI
platform.
I created an EMF Domain model and I am using it outside eclipse (eg: EMF
batch mode only).
Is it possible to run a validation without loading EMFT plugins and just
reusing jars at runtime (as EMF does)?
regards,

Chris,
I reached the same conclusion.
I'll try to work with annotations and EMF validation mechanism.

Hello Lucas,
The EMFT validation framework is tightly integrated into eclipse and
OSGI at the moment. For example, constraints have to be contributed
through an extension point.
To "batch" validate your domain models you could try EMF's own
validation framework. I don't believe that it requires eclipse.
I hope this helps,
