No "Show grid" item in Popup [message #41981] Thu, 17 June 2004 02:27 Go to next message

Hi all,

I'm using VE under Eclipse 3.0 M8. It works fine until I try to make a panel
with Gridbaglayout/GridLayout.

The "Show grid" item was not display in the popup menu (that's what should
be shown according to the Test Scenarios) when I right-click on the JPanel.
Is there any special settings required to get it work?

My installation of VE is strictly follows the instruction of official VE, so
I hope the cause doesn't come from this...

Any idea to overcome this little but important problem?

Best regards,
Submarine

Submarine,

Are you using VE 0.5.0 or VE 1.0 M1? The GridBag support was introduced
in M1, and was not available in 0.5. Are you switching the JPanel to
GridBag Layout from the property sheet before looking for the Show Grid
item on the context menu and the alignment window?
