Hello.

My group is developing an editor to create database diagrams based on
the Datatools' SQL model. We'd like to give the chance to declare the
columns of the tables either as CHAR or VARCHAR (among the usual data
types of course). The CharacterStringDataType metaclass has a boolean
attribute (fixedLength) that seems to satisfy our requirements, but I
can't understand why it is neither changeable nor derived.

Can anyone give me some help so that I can avoid modifying the metamodel?

Thanks in advance.

Mario.
