Note my comments outlining the key tradeoffs of using the Synchronize
arrows, which we experimented with multiple variations of. In the end
there was too much visual clutter and too much contrast to make for a
clean UI when there are a lot of incomings (quite typical, since the
Task List functions like an inbox). While we try to never break from UI
conventions established by the Platform, the Synchronize view convention
does not quite scale to what we needed for the Task List.
However, thanks to all the feedback on that bug report we realize that
some will not want to change or will not like the dissonance of having
two styles (even though the color schemes match). So we do provide a
Sandbox UI Tweak that uses the standard Synchronize view arrows and
positioning. We will have the update site with that tweak available
tomorrow.
If you find yourself using the Synchronize arrow style please open a bug
report in case others want to have this voted out of the UI Tweaks and
into the distribution.
