Is MDT going to provide an API to persist diagram notations in the model
UML2 file?

I'm interested to know how i can use the API for the diagram interchange
specification if there already exists one!

Ravikanth,

As yet we have no implementation if the DI metamodel, but it's certainly one
of the things we plan to do (as indicated in the proposal) - would you like
to contribute one? The tooling provided for creating UML diagrams will
persist these diagrams using the format produced by GMF (at least
initially); once we have support for DI implemented, it should be able to
import/export that format as well.
