How do I use the gmf drag and drop extension points [message #37884]

Can anybody give me some basic guidence on how to use the GMF drag and drop
extension points (...dnd.dragDropListnerProviders and
....dnd.transferAdapterProviders). What I am trying to do is to drag a
non-EMF/GMF object from another window, and create an EMF and GMF object in
my GMF editor referencing this when I drop it. I have so-far, however, been
unable to persuade Eclipse to even access the classes I am attempting to
plug in using these extension points. Are there any examples where these
extension points are used?
