Problems stepping into Ruby methods [message #35573] Thu, 29 January 2009 12:36 Go to next message

Hi,

I have DLTK .95 installed on my Genymede modeling download on Fedora Linux
10 x64 as well as ruby 1.8.6 and the ruby-debug gem. The IDE seems to detect
the ruby-debug gem because the preferences seem to work which don't work
when it is not installed. However, when try to debug ruby code if I step
into a method in another file I see a new editor pane with title DBGP:
<targetFileName> and in the pane I see a message saying 'dbgp: source
lookup'. It seems that the debugger cannot find the source for the file
contating the method I am stepping into although in this particular case it
is in the same directory as the calling source.

I presume I have some kind of configuration or installation problem.

Thanks for any help in advance!
Derek

Hi Derek,

Would you please check if DLTK 1.0 version works for you?
There are several improvements in the DLTK debug support, so probably it
is already fixed.

Regards,
Alex
