Hello everyone,

After installing Eclipse JEE (Release 4.31) we wanted to install the ABAP Development tools.
. We followed these instructions. At first we had some proxy problems, which we were able to fix. However, the installation of the HANA tools failed. We were able to reduce the error message to a minimum. Unfortunately, we cannot get rid of this error message (see attached screenshot)

Do you have any idea what is wrong here?

Thank you and best regards
OnBak

Your screenshot does not show enough information. There's a scroll bar next to the message so you have not provided the complete message. That said, those seem to be plugins from SAP, so you're probably better off asking somewhere where people know more about the SAP plugins.

Here are some general tips:
- the message says that org.eclipse.emf.workspace is required in version [1.5.2,2.0.0) . EMF is the Eclipse Modeling Framework. Check that a suitable version is installed. I'm not that familiar with it but it seems to be installed in my Eclipse. From my installation's details (Help -> About Eclipse IDE -> Installation Details -> Plug-ins), I'd say that the name on the update site is "EMF Model Transaction Workbench Integration Core".
- some vendors target specific versions of Eclipse and only support those. Check that the tools are suitable for Eclipse 4.31.
- If the message says something about plugins provided by the Eclipse project (e.g. with package name org.eclipse*) being in conflict, it can help to check for updates first and install some. This could take multiple tries with different sets of updates if there are any conflicts. YMMV.
