Hi everyone!

I have been having this problem for a while now, at least since 2023-12. Eclipse works fine, but the startup time goes up to 1-2 minutes (before even selecting workspace).

It seems that this problem is related somehow to the installation of JBoss Tools. Once installed from the marketplace, the startup time increases greatly. I only installed the JBoss AS, Wildfly & EAP Server Tools, not the rest of the items of the plugin, and I have disabled the sending of statistics to the JBoss team.

I've just upgraded to Eclipse 2024-06, but the problem still persists.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can try to debug the startup or anything if you give me directions on how to do that.

Kind regards.
Alex

Seems like the sort of thing to contact JBoss about, especially if it only happens with JBoss Tools installed. Is it possibly related to network proxy settings?

I am not behind a proxy. I guess I'll have to find out the team behind JBoss Tools plugin, but still would be grateful if there was a way at least to debug where is eclipse stopping upon start. Maybe that way I can figure out what's happening.

Thanks!
